Duncan Neuhauser Award for Curricular Innovation
Informational Conference Call – July 12, 2010 at 10AM Central Time
In an ongoing effort to encourage the development and dissemination of original curricular materials pertaining to the teaching of improvement in healthcare, AHI is announcing the second annual Duncan Neuhauser Curricular Innovation Awards in HealthCare Improvement. The award was established last year to honor the many contributions of Duncan Neuhauser, PhD to the teaching of quality improvement throughout his distinguished career. Dr. Neuhauser serves as the Charles Elton Blanchard, M.D. Professor of Health Management at the Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. This award, to be presented at the AHI Scientific Symposium on December, 6, 2010, will recognize new curricular material that has the potential for significant impact in teaching improvement in healthcare, is innovative in its educational approach, and has the ability to be adopted by other schools, institutions or professions. A first prize of $500 will be awarded, with the second and third place awardees receiving $300 and $200 respectively.

A team of educators from Memorial University in Newfoundland was presented with the inaugural Duncan Neuhauser Award for Curricular Innovation at the AHI Annual Meeting in Orlando, Florida on December 7, 2009.
